Because we have such a large country, there will be some regions which become more arid and others which become wetter. So you can't say ONE thing which will apply to all rural areas since there is already a vast range of different climate conditions between all the rural areas.
Here are some points from the CSIRO report released a few years back:
*Australian annual average daily mean temperatures have increased by 0.9 °C since 1910
*SE Australia is likely to become dryer this century, while NW Australia is likely to receive more rainfall
*Australian average temperatures are projected to rise by 0.6 to 1.5 °C by 2030 when compared with the climate of 1980 to 1999.

Most of rural Australia will experience less rainfall and more extreme hot days. The biggest impact in rural Australia will be the effect that this has on crops for many farmers.
