Questions about Canada need to be answered now?

I think Canada would benefit from global warming, as it is so cold there, and it would result in more arable land. I don't think Canada should do anything to limit the effects of climate change, though this would depend on what the effects are. Mostly I think the predicted effects are overstated, and the overall impacts will be minimal. Canada should take care to build up coastal cities for the oncoming foot of sea level rise. Canada is a benefit for other countries. It's energy production lowers the worldwide price, bringing more wealth to the people of the world, and reducing the incentive of wars for oil. Also, Canada along with the Czechs are very supportive of Israel's right to exist.

1. By energy you mean oil and gas? The production has shifted from conventional wells in 1970's to tarsands today. The political landscape has changed and is less democratic. Many Canadians do not recognize their own country and Canada's once great International reputation is very low.

2. yes, some regions will benefit, others not. The open Arctic will see a boom of resource extraction, while extreme weather will affect other areas

3. Different from doing little, yes. So far it's just talk. There are two why we should do it: to foster new industries and to be part of international leadership.

4. The only other country in the "region" is USA. We have little or no effect.

Canada would be one country least effected by warming, warmer conditions and longer growing days would improve agriculture.

If Canada goes the way of carbon tax or cap and trade, there would be big downturn in the economy

So far there is no evidence of climate change, temperature have not increased for the last 15yrs, which is a shame as some warming for Canada would definitely be preferential.

Canada has the second highest consumption of energy (next to the U.S.) because of high heating demands.

it's just amazing people still believe in this AGW nonsense BS.

Questions are

1.how would you describe canada's energy production and use?

2.how do you think canada's economy would be affected by climate change?

3.do you think Canada should do anything different to limit the effects of climate change and why?

4.how does Canada positively and negatively affect other countries in the region?

If you can answer one or some that would be really helpful thanks.
