Carbon Sequestration is the process to capture CO2 that would otherwise be emitted into the atmosphere then re-bury it into rock formations. It puts the carbon back into the ground rather than the air and oceans.

It would do so by using other energy sources. Most power plants that do not produce carbon dioxide are hydroelectric plants and nuclear plants.

There are ideas for trapping the CO2 created by the plant and then burying them. If I remember correctly, the use water to trap the CO2 by bubbling the exhaust from the power plant through the water where it dissolves. Then you have to store the water somewhere to keep the CO2 from coming back out. (This is like what soda pop is, minus the sugar.)

Ist - You need to get the facts straight about CO2. It isn't causing Global Warming. Period! End of Story!

You also need to understand that the IPCC has been caught red-handed manipulating temperature data for the past 20 years. The "Hockey Stick Graph" presented a few years ago was totally debunked. This was considered the "Smoking Gun" in proving that CO2 was causing Global Warming. The only thing AGW climate scientists have to prove man-caused weather change is climate models and they have been wrong ever since they started presenting them.

If there was a power plant that didn't let off CO2 when fossil fuels where burnt, how would that work?

What changes would you need to make so that power plant could function?
