Explain why nuclear power plants do not contribute to global warming?

Actually they do contribute to global warming, heat is produced but radioactive reaction, which heats steam, the steam drives a turbine/generator, the steam is then cooled either by sea water cooling or by cooling towers, this is waste heat and is going to into the atmosphere.

The construction of nuclear plants and the mining and processing of uranium does require energy. If the energy for these uses come from fossil fuels, it adds to atmospheric carbon dioxide in that manner. But the same could be said about wind and solar power. But the production of energy by the splitting of atoms does not add greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.

Nuclear power comes from boiling water with hot rocks as the heat source. There is no fossil fuels involved and no carbon released in the process. It's clean and green, plus the consensus of nuclear scientists say it's safe.

The actual construction of the nuke plants and the installation and maintenance of the associated transmission and distribution infrastructure, result in huge amounts of CO2 release.

CO2 by the way, has not been shown to contribute to Catastrophic, Man-made, Global Warming.

For this question you have to have swallowed the CO2 connection hook line and sinker. As the graphs that prove the connection show that there is non this is a duff question.

they produce heat for steam electric tubines by atomic energy. there is no greehouse gas emission which would contribute to global warming.

please tell me why they do not contribute to global warming, not how good or bad they are or how they leave alot of crap behind, i just need to know why they dont contribute to global warming :)
