All said: this is a global village in which the media and the journalists are trying to bring us together as well as the scientists and the politicians...
It means we are so much in contact with each other through the Web that it was like living in a village 100 years ago.
Rapid communication over large distances and the same with transport of goods has in a economic sense created a global village. In a social sense it is a village in which, ar best no-one knows their neighbors and at worst, backstabbing and robbing your neighbors is the norm
