Which Michael Mann work is better at improving understanding of global warming?

Hockey stick papers, or the movie 'Heat'?

Well his first hockey stick got him a lead author position for IPCC, but it was based on faulty data and methods. It reduced understanding of global warming, as it disappeared the Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice Age, contrary to people's well established understanding of planetary history.

As for HEAT

We have a cabal of experts who have been found out, and are under increased surveillance. In the wake of this surveillance, instead of giving up, they double down and become more brazen.

Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.

And I am double the worst trouble you ever had.

Ain't a hard time been invented that I cannot handle.

Don't move! Don't move! Put your hands in the air! Put your hands in the air! Put 'em up!

Neil McCauley: Get on your knees! Get on your knees!

Neil McCauley: We want to hurt no one! We're here for the bank's money, not your money. Your money is insured by the federal government, you're not gonna lose a dime! Think of your families, don't risk your life. Don't try and be a hero!

I guess the earth shattered?

You don't wanna know.

I'd like to know what's behind that grim look on your face.

I don't do that. You know it. Let's go, come on.

You never told me I'd be excluded.

I told you, when we hooked up, baby, that you were gonna have to share me with all the bad people and all the ugly events on this planet.

He knew the risks, he didn't have to be there. It rains... you get wet.

NOW, there are other works that are more relevant. Michael Man's analysis of why the Medieval Warm Period is not global in scope, he suggests that there is some natural mechanism that moderated natural warming caused by change in orbital forcing. One possible culprit is the Pacific Thermostat Hypothesis. The implications of this are that warming from CO2 would also have a negative feedback. When asked if this meant that warming in climate models is 'vastly overstated' he replied,'I agree with that. I have a reputation out there of being some sort of climate alarmist, but I think there is a missing negative feedback.'

Other works that may be relevant to climate science, provide the plot if you are familiar with the movie:

Public Enemies, group of skeptics collude in preventing action against climate change

Texas Killing Fields

The Kingdom, area ruled by Big Oil acts to keep investigators from getting at the truth

The Insider, oil industry whistleblower reveals plot to suppress science

Thief, mafia man claims to produce solar power at night to collect the subsidies

Witness

When someone starts with a bias and isn't showing a conscientiously objective outlook on how the Planet warms and cools over long periods of time, then how is he/she improving an understanding?

Mann has shown over time that he holds a bias when it comes to AGW.

Horror movies So He can scare little children about harmless

CO2 .

I think his most informative work was when he sued when someone said that instead of Penn State he should be at the State Pen. The rest of his work simply muddies the water IMO.
