There is a short-term hotspot; but, then there always is as it is also caused by solar warming of the surface. So, if there is no "hotspot" that must mean that there is no sum, either.

That is not "evidence" of anything. Since you are so big on evidence then provide evidence demonstrating (mathematically/scientifcally) that global temperatures cannot be what they are given the behavior of CO2 emissions. That includes precisely defining "global temperatures" (and demonstrating why that is the appropriate variable) and the relationship between them.

Bullshlt. AGW is the (legitimately) accepted scientific theory. It is supported by a body of scientific laws and theories - and by the existing scientific evidence. It requires no additional evidence to secure its scientific standing. Part of AGW denial includes ignorance of the fact that the scientific research has moved well beyond the question of whether AGW is real. Current research is focused on further exploring the mechanism and consequences of AGW.

As such, AGW stands until a superior scientific theory - based on evidence and scientific principles - replaces it. By analogy, AGW is now the null hypothesis - and it is the alternative hypothesis (the Denier position) that requires evidence.

First - no one has EVER received money to prove AGW. That accusation is not only baseless, it is a lie - and if made against a specific scientist(s) and funding organization(s), it is criminal defamation. So, why don't you go ahead and make a specific accusation against someone - and see where that gets you.

Second - no one (except maybe some Deniers) is being funded to investigate the question

of whether AGW is real - because the "if it is real" question has been answered and the scientific questions (and the available funding) now are all in the areas of "how it works and what it is doing."

Deniers are still living in 1909 arguing that the Wright brothers will never fly while the rest of the world already landed on the moon 45 years ago and is moving forward.

The recent plateau in warming - the warmest year on record is 1998.

Also the greenhouse effect of CO2 by itself is not very significant. Researchers who predict major warming rely on all kinds of feedback effects to amplify warming from CO2.

Please define climate change. You are asking a question to prove something isn't happening that has never been legally or scientifically defined.

The closest you can come to the definition of Climate Change is the IPCC where it states, "Climate Change is a change in climate."

If you are trying to gather information for a classroom assignment, try this, define Climate Change in such a way where we can prove it or disprove it, either in an honest courtroom or in a honest scientific study. It hasn't been accomplished yet.
