It is a complete lie. It is total propaganda. It is a BIG lie!
The theory of the Big Lie was succinctly expounded by Adolf Hitler, an acknowledged master of the genre. Here is what Der Führer wrote in vol. I, Chapter 10 of Mein Kampf (in James Murphy' translation):
"...in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying."
Notice the 'expert liars' statement. That is what we have here. A bunch of glitzy swindlers who are now richer and more powerful than they were before the big lie. We have children not sleeping at night due to the big lie. We have people believing that their own going to the potty and eating is destroying the earth. Orson Wells got sued big time for putting on his spoof 'War of the Worlds' and he even did this on Halloween and announced that it was a spoof at the end of his prank. These originators of the big lie are awarded prizes and honored for their dastardly crime against humanity. And it is a crime against humanity that is perpetuated for the gain of a few at the cost of the masses.
The first film was a cartoon, but I dont follow Al Gore, because he never had anything to do with Global Warming/ that he did'nt try to rob the public showing non-sents films. Mike
Haven't seen it and it doesn't interest me.
1) He's not a scientist, just a guy who reports on his interpretation of what scientists are saying. With very little scientific training he probably got much of it wrong.
2) The people who made the movie were making a movie that they hoped people would watch, not an extremely boring documentary that no one would understand.
3) Watching his movie is like watching "Top Gun" or "G.I. Joe" and thinking you understand what being in the military is like.

The judge agreed that it was a political, but not party political, film. It is allowed to be shown in schools in the UK - just as many other works of fiction are. However, as a result of the trial, there is now a comprehensive set of notes that the pupils are legally to be made aware of if they are shown An Inconvenient Truth (AIT). Interestingly, many of the criticisms levelled at The Great Global Warming Swindle apply just as much to AIT. Both films scored own goals.
