Global Warming, please help?

Posted at: 2015-03-12
I would like to know what is global warming, ways we can stop it, things that have happened because of it and how it has affected our planet. Please help.

Global warming is a recently evolved, insidious anthropogenic disaster. It is the documented historical warming of Earth's near-surface temperature. Global warming came into existence in mid 20th century and has been progressing at an unprecedented rate ever since. Global warming is sometimes used synonymously with the term "climate change". However a basic difference exists between the two. Climate change is identified state of change of climate which persists for a decade or longer, whereas Global warming is the combined effect of man made green house gases and change in solar irradiance. Global warming has emerged as a humongous problem facing the fast and ever growing world.

Speech about Causes of Global Warming and Mechanism

As mentioned earlier, it is a combined effect. Over the years of development of new and improved products for living, their has been a neglected, unwanted rise in gases that are causing gradual destruction of the protective blanket around our globe i.e. the Ozone layer. Global warming is an uncalled for event following employment of harmful greenhouse gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), , Methane (CH4), and aerosols such as Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC), Hydrocarbons (CHC), etc.

These gases form O. free radicals which combine with Ozone and convert it to O2 and other non-protective gases. Thus solar energy which was impermeable to the Earth's atmosphere due to the unyielding Ozone layer is clear of all the obstacles.

Speech about Effects and Control of Global Warming

According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the decade of the 2000s (2000–2009) is the warmest on record. The global mean surface temperature for 2009 is currently estimated at 0.44°C/0.79°F above the 1961-1990 annual average of 14.00°C/57.20°F. Global warming is a potential health hazard.

Wills I don't know how old you are, but I'm 67yrs old and global warming has been around a long time, but it's strange that the climate seems to be the same now, as when I was young,

I have been fishing the same beach for 20 years now, and know every rock and reef intimately, but cannot notice any sea level rise.

The National Academy of Sciences include members such as Richard Lindzen who has explained in detail that human induced Global Warming is of a minimal forcing to the climate. The science is not conclusive as to the extent of humans causing the entire climate system to change. Any claim that humans are causing catastrophic climate change is totally unfounded. There is plenty of evidence to show that humans have a minimal effect on our climate system. The National Academy of Sciences also reports this in their Summary Reports.

Well this what I've heard...People are worried about potential implications. Bad things could happen – a report suggests.

Although when I think of those hard working climate scientists completely at ease with the complexity of the Earth's climate system who suggest CO2 might be a problem, I can't help but think of the Leo Tolstoy quote:

“I know that most men, including those at ease with problems of the greatest complexity, can seldom accept even the simplest and most obvious truth if it be such as would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they have delighted in explaining to colleagues, which they have proudly taught to others, and which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabric of their lives.” - Leo Tolstoy

Well theres something called an ozone layer it protects the earth from harmful rays from the sun harmful gases like the smoke that comes from cars destroys the ozone layer making the suns harmful rays come in.not only does it get hottwr in the earth ut melts the huge glaciers in antartica and the north and south pole when that ice melts more water is made and it rises the water level experts say that half of antartica will be gone because of global warming and he countrys by there will be under water nothing yet the best way to gelp stop globall warming is to walk, run, bike, etc and use cars less hope this helps

"Al Gore likes to say that mankind puts 70 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every day. What he probably doesn't know is that mother nature puts 24,000 times that amount of our main greenhouse gas -- water vapor -- into the atmosphere every day, and removes about the same amount every day. While this does not 'prove' that global warming is not manmade, it shows that weather systems have by far the greatest control over the Earth's greenhouse effect, which is dominated by water vapor and clouds." http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat...

Go the the National Academy of Science.

From this page you can get to either a pamphlet or a video series.

Beware of those who try to politicize a scientific issue. The NAS is where you get the actual statements from America's academy of our greatest scientists. Avoid the non-science blogs.

At first we must have to stop deforestation, and stooping increasing co2.

I suggest you watch this, it will tell you all about it.
