Are you afraid of the next Ice Age?

From your link :

" ... Casey suggests climate-change theorists have simply wedded themselves to the wrong theory ― namely, that global temperatures respond to the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. ... "

"Climate Clowns" will hang onto their environmental clichés until the "bitter-cold" end or they will play both sides of the coin and say that CO2 causes warming and/or cooling. All we have to do then is shove those GCM projections back into their face and laugh. By that time people will certainly get up and walk out just like they have been doing wherever Obama speaks lately.

It's a war about the 'truth in science'. The simple truth is "that the solar cycles from the sun affect temperatures with a much higher 'forcing value' than CO2 does". Science has shown us the "diminishing effect of CO2 warming" with increased CO2 levels, but these relentless clowns will continue to dig deeper 'money-pit' holes using research grants and claim they have found GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE somewhere and then claim to need more money to verify their findings. Same old story since the beginning of the IPCC.

I guess I would call that scenario a mini Ice Age like the Little Ice Age. It would certainly be worse than a warm spell. Am I afraid? Not very.

Watch - Ice Caps could be in Washington Heights NYC and the faithful will claim that the ice age is because it's getting much warmer...... Global warming is turning into a cult.

I've been saying this for some time....some indications are that the Sun is entering a new period of lower output which could lead to another mini-Ice Age like the Maunder Minimum and no one can say for sure how long this might last. We might have another large volcanic eruption or series of them which could further complicate things.

It is a concern and could lead to more widespread development of methods to grow crops indoors in high rise buildings ...known as vertical farming...with less dependence on weather trends. There are many other advantages to controlled vertical farming... less pollution, lower water and fuel use, less land required to grow an equivalent or greater amount of food, no need for pesticides, production of compost materials and methane, growing crops closer to urban areas where it's needed, providing local jobs, year-round food production even in inclement weather, etc...

We have a company here in town called Growing Power founded by Will Allen that grows crops and fish year-round in cold Milwaukee winters using aquaponics methods....over a million pounds of food and 10,000 fish per year among other benefits from a 3 acre site. Far more production than conventional farming methods.

So if we do enter a new mini Ice Age, there are low cost and effective ways to mitigate food issues if needed....vertical farming, aquaponics, saline tolerant crops, Terra Preta soils, etc.. And we may have to rethink whether adding CO2 to the atmosphere is a bad thing...we may want more to help warm the world.

yes Im afraid of that because it reults in the problem of cultivation and so on due to which it will b dificult for humans to survive and there will be crises of food....

no, because ill be dead before that happens.. and ill die if that happens anyways.. who cares, youll be dead :P

No. I still enjoy the effects of a little Ice Age

18,000 years ago in my outdoor recreation.

I am not looking forward to a 30-year cold spell with food shortages.

No

and, Newsmax Media, commonly called Newsmax, is a conservative American news media organization.

And conservatives are part of the Republican War on Science

Yeah sure, that is all I do all day is think about the ice age coming...haven't done much else. anyone want to shoot me some money

I want global warming. Winter sucks

Yep..,.,shakin' in my boots. More likely than the loony apocalyptic heat projections.

Yeah its getting chill in the big East.

I love the cold so it would not matter to me.

yes i hate the cold

Just so long as I have gas for my snowmobile...no worries.

When is that going to start?

No, I like to ski.

you are making things up. nothing in the link about ice age... it is about colder weather in usa.

next ice age thousands of years away.
