You have to remember the oceans contain a huge buffer of calcium, and all the creatures, plankton crustaceans use CO2 to combine with calcium to make their shells (calcium carbonate) preventing acidification (actually neutralization) so really the only change will be that these creatures will have stronger bigger shells
The ocean will not acidify but get more neutral, as the ocean pH is currently basic.

My problem is that I got a research topic ask about the way in which climate change contribute to ocean acidification but I want to talk about the effects of ocean acidification. Is there a way I could create a thesis statement linking the two?
