That is one thing that is particularly frustrated, especially with the political nature of this topic. Peer review is good, if you understand what is going on.
In Stats you will see entirely contradicting papers talking about the bayesian approach versus the frequentists approach. Both have been peer reviewed. In other fields you will see even more heated debate and trashing the validity of papers. This inherently means uncertainty in the field and a lack of consensus on various topics.
In climate change you will see a paper saying the CC will cause flooding in England. Then you will see another saying that CC will cause droughts in England.
The warmers are too scientifically-illiterate to understand what this means. When there is a drought in England, they will pull the drought paper and claim it was predicted. Then a couple of seasons later when there is a flood, they will pull the flood paper. All the while, they will claim consensus of views, when the ONLY consensus of "most" "scientists" is that man is causing some warming.
You point out this problem, though, and you are an anti-science denier??? Because that is what science is now about? Predicitng every possible scenario and claiming victory when one comes true? Sorry I did not get the memo that the scientific method was being revised.
Actually for the last 5 years the media presented the non science, denier view over the AGW reality view. The media is interested into sensationalism so story headlines like "no warming for 15 years" were the journalistic a la mode BUT they didn't check the accuracy or credentials of the source The media is the primary reason for any confusion about AGW They printed so many lies and misinformation, cherry picked denier data that any reduction in worldwide CO2 has been slowed.
Fortunately much of the mainstream medis is not publishing the truth about AGW to the chagrin of your denier friends, so the public can now wake up to reality. Of course the denier rags like dailymail, dailycaller will continue to print denier rubbish

Well, I wouldn't call that web article exactly a thoroughly researched peer-reviewed study. But I do get the same general gist myself.
The MSM are becoming more and more irrelevant. If they are going to right the ship, it will be interesting to see which way they steer. Complete objectivity, fair and balanced reporting and in depth investigative journalism is what I'd like to see but I don't think either side of the political spectrum would be happy with that.
The forces of politics are struggling to make the media their own ideological messenger.
