Can a person own stocks in oil corporations, build their family wealth with oil money and still call themselves an envir

Al Gore believe in CAGW as much as I do, not at all. He makes his profits off CAGW scare stories and he relies on the uncritical thinking of politicians and alarmists.

You should not visit the sins of the parents on the children. Even though Al Gore Snr had quite an "interesting" past.

However, being lectured to about the environment by someone who has led a priviliged lifestyle funded by oil, tobacco, coal, mining and his father's dubious relationship with Armand Hammer is hard to stomach. Or maybe you don't know how close to the communists Al Gore Snr really was?

That is quite common. These people are hypocrites. Al Gore admittedly raised tobacco and made money from it. Now he has backtracked and shrugs it off.

"Throughout most of my life, I’ve raised tobacco…I want you to know that with my own hands, all of my life, I put it in the plant beds and transferred it. I’ve hoed it. I’ve chopped it. I’ve shredded it, spiked it, put it in the barn and stripped it and sold it."

Al Gore has proven to be a hypocrite in his oil usage with his six big mansions and private airplane among other things. He uses enough fossil fuel to power a small city.

He is not alone. The greenies are fraught with rich fossil fuel guzzlers. Did you see Leo DiCaprio go deaf when he was asked about his yacht? Yet he is considered a champion among environmentalists.

That is why none of the greenies on this site can be taken seriously. Their final agenda is not to save the world but tyranny.

Quote from the UN's Own "Agenda 21": "Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level."

It isn't about environmentalism, it is about tyranny.

Quote by Ottmar Edenhoffer, high level UN-IPCC official: "We redistribute de facto the world's wealth by climate policy...Basically it's a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization...One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore."

They can call themselves 'environmentalists' but their actions speak otherwise.

What is it with Al Gore that obsesses science deniers so much?

Even with Al Gore's entire wealth coming from oil, him flying fuel guzzling private jets and owning large homes, the science of climate change is not affected one iota.

al gore is fat too. this does not change greehouse effect

you don't really care so i won't answer

Algores family wealth came from a close relationship Algore Sr had with oil baron Armand Hammer of Occidental Petroleum. And the Algore fortune comes from their massive holdings in OXY stocks, making Algore an owner of a big oil company. Can Algore own big oil, profit from big oil, and vote on the way a big oil corporation is run and still claim to be an environmentalist?
