What do you think of Obama's speech about climate change?

No. It doesn't matter now what Obama says. It matters what he achieves.

"We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations."

Translation: We will get our money now and leave our children and future generations in debt up to their ears. We will destroy the Constitution and put our children and future generations under tyranny.

"Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science" You mean those 75 out of 77 sellouts?

"but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires and crippling drought and more powerful storms." H-m-m-m. I remember forest fires were here long before he was on the earth. I'm sure he wasn't around for the dust bowl, either. Sandy was a tropical storm when it hit the NJ coast. Katrina was caused by Bush, not Climate Change, just ask Al Sharpton.

I think it means he's gonna try to slow down Global Warming. The other answers are absolute bull and are by a bunch of anti-government dudes. The increase in temperature is caused by Global Warming and causes more storms and droughts and such. Global Warming IS NOT a natural change. It is caused by the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere from factories, cars, and fossils fuels.

"We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations."

This is a pure lie. It gives us higher energy costs, more regulation, more deaths from not enough fuel, higher food prices, ugly solar farms ugly wind turbines, bird and bat deaths, recession, more debt, less jobs and famine.

"Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires and crippling drought and more powerful storms."

Did Galileo, Newton and Einstein overturn the "overwhelming judgement" of their fellow scientists? 2012 ranks as 54th in ‘extreme weather’ events since 1910.

i did not like it. he is not for the environment as much as he is some sort of egomaniac who is run by his handlers on these issues. good things he could do is push for safer nuke plants as they produce no emissions.

Well I think he is doing the right thing for the wrong reasons, he is right about being responsible about our use of fossil fuels, he is wrong about global warming and powerful storms, drought and fires, these happen anyway and through nature not man,

I have yet to see a mathematical value for climate change that makes any sense. At least when we are debating global warming we have some data we can look at. This climate change stuff is pure smoke and mirrors.

The 'speach' illustrated once again just how uninformed and insecure he is.

It was more proof that he is under the control of a cadre of handlers who are contolling his every word and action.

He needs to Man-Up and speak for himself!

I think he can kiss my *** about climate change because it doesn't exist. If climate change did exist than it would not be in the teens and lower in many other areas on the east coast

this speech

"We, the people, still believe that our obligations as Americans are not just to ourselves, but to all posterity. We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations. Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires and crippling drought and more powerful storms.
