Suggest one problem caused by cement manufacture.

Much of that cement goes into wind turbine foundations.

The two problems with cement manufacture are:

1. It ruins one piece of countryside where they dig out the limestone.

2. They then ruin another bit of countryside when they start building wind turbines there.

"The base of the steel tower is anchored in a platform of more than a thousand tons of concrete and steel rebar, 30 to 50 feet across and anywhere from 6 to 30 feet deep. Pylons may be driven down farther to help anchor the platform."

It is not a problem, we have plenty of room in the atmosphere for more CO2.

CO2 has been many times higher in the past without causing our planet any problems, in fact nature is continually extracting CO2 from the atmosphere, converting it to calcium carbonate and depositing as limestone or chalk.

You should be happy about that, because plant-life LOVES CO2 and higher levels of it means more food for a hungry world. And CO2 does NOT drive warming like Al Gore wants you to believe.

Alarmists tell us that we currently have the highest CO2 levels in thousands of years (that's not true, but that's what they say) --- nevertheless, the globe is NOT warming and has not been for more than 18 years.

There is NO **man-made** Global Warming and there has never been any.

What global warming? It's been cooling for at least 12 years according to HadCrut3 & HadCrut4 is nearly flat. http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadcrut...

According to RSS Satellite data there has been no warming for more than 18 years.

Can't think of a problem caused by cement, does it help put the mud hut industry out of business?

carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. it contributes to global warming.

edit..and kano fails to mention it was hundreds of millions ago before humans when the sun was weaker. either forgets or deliberately misleads.

Yes - Everything we do causes the earth to die just a little bit more. \This is why we need to give up technology and move back into caves.

should be correct
