Likelihood of a Runaway Greenhouse Effect?

I mean the seas boiling away and Earth becoming uninhabitable. Or at least something close to this.

If Earth had an atmosphere exactly like that of Venus its temperature would only be about 80C if climate sensitivity were 4C. And water boils at a much higher temperature when the pressure is 95 bar.

A runaway greenhouse effect is a process in which a net positive feedback between surface temperature and atmospheric opacity increases the strength of the greenhouse effect on a planet until its oceans boil away. An example of this is believed to have happened in the early history of Venus.

On the Earth, the IPCC states that "a 'runaway greenhouse effect'―analogous to Venus―appears to have virtually no chance of being induced by anthropogenic activities."

A "Runaway Greenhouse Effect" is based on the mid to upper troposphere warming at a much faster rate than the surface. This is where climate science and people like Al Gore have failed us. There is much that climate science doesn't understand about how our atmosphere works. This is the reason why they have scaled back apocalyptic claims. If a runaway greenhouse effect was really a concern, it would be a national news issue by now. Don't you think?

Honestly sound like you are predicting Armageddon

We are currently @ 400 ppm CO2 and IPCC has raised the tipping point to 550. The closer we get to 600 and beyond, the more likely we will see some catastrophic climate change events, particularly heat waves and severe drought which will decimate an areas water resources. This type of event could make not only water, but food scarce as well. As we move into this level of climate change, we can expect millions if not hundreds of millions of deaths, government failings and tribal conflicts attempting to take control of oil, food and water. instead of the survival of the fittest, we may have to settle of the survival of the most ruthless.

In a billion years when the sun is a red giant .

Global Warming is not real nor is the greenhouse effect so dont worry nothing is going to happen dispit what most say.

More chance of Godzilla attacking than that.

Go to bed, you're having a bad day.
