Is there any connection between the Medieval warm period and the little ice age?

I think so

Only time.

One would presume you're asking if the Medieval warm period caused the little ice age.

No, it didn't.

Reduced solar activity did.

We don't have any indication that the reduction in solar activity was a response to a higher level that preceded it.

One would assume that prior the the solar minimum, solar activity wasn't all that different from what we see today.

i've never heard of a 'little ice age'

Most likely solar cycles. It lasted much longer than ocean current cycles

They show that some fluctuation of climate patterns (much more significant than any recent ones) are within the "normal range" and tend to refute apocalyptic, catastrophic predictions.

Yes. They are both part of Earth's natural cycles.

Yes it happened before the little ice age
