I can't decide if that's more stupid than insulting...
In some parts of the world electicity prices are so high, it makes sense to use both in and on your home regardless if AGW is a lie or not.
I already replaced all my light bulbs with CFL and LED. And when I renovated my kitchen 2 years ago, I found that the cost for a spotlight housing combined with LED is cheaper then for a spotlight housing using a halogen bulb. On top of that I save money on my monthly bills. You'd be a thief of your own pocket if you didn't do those things already.
On top of this I am already looking at going off grid myself . My problem is that during the winter month there is not enough sunlight for my electricity needs. I am waiting to get a fuel cell to generate electricity and heat my home in the winter months and depending on the cost, I expect the payback period to be 15 - 20 years, this is without government subsidies (The main cost right now is not the solar panels, it is the battery storage that I would require and replace every ten years)
As to the question if it is a lie, ask yourself if thousands of scientist are capable of publishing false science papers in order to persuade consumers to buy solar,cfl light bulbs,etc AND keep this lie a secret? For those who answer yes, maybe you will be interested in buying this one of a kind John Lear official hat... [1]

@ kano, CO2 is a greenhouse gas, humans have increased the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by 40% if all other things remain equal the earth will retain more of the sun's energy. Your claim that it is a "mistake" contradicts the thousands of scientist who have published papers on climate change and expressed an opinion on AGW. [2] Maybe you can point us to your published papers on climate change. Just because CO2 like excrement is good for plants, that does not mean we should vaporize excrement and dump it into the atmosphere because it is cheaper then paying for sewage treatment.
If it is a lie, the lie started a long time ago. Beginning with work by Joseph Fourier in the 1820s, scientists had understood that gases in the atmosphere might trap the heat received from the Sun. John Tyndall set out to find whether there was in fact any gas in the atmosphere that could trap heat rays. In 1859, his careful laboratory work identified water vapor and carbon dioxide.
In 1896, Svante Arrhenius published the paper "On the Influence of Carbonic Acid in the Air upon the Temperature of the Ground." (Carbon dioxide was once known as carbonic acid.) He stated, "If the quantity of carbonic acid increases in geometric progression, the augmentation of the temperature will increase nearly in arithmetic progression." He included in his calculations the fact that decreased snow cover would decrease the albedo (reflectivity) of the Earth and that a warmer atmosphere would hold more water vapor.
No global warming is not a lie, it's a mistake a screw up by politicians and the scientist's that carried out their bidding
