When will people realize that global warming is a pseudoscience?

Posted at: 2015-03-12
Climatologists who study global warming belong up there with the people chasing bigfoot. All it ever is, is anecdotal evidence fueling fear mongering, hysteria, and panic.

We already know it's a hoax.

Joseph Goebbels,

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

You would be surprised how many people believe in Bigfoot. They won't stop believing in this pseudoscience because they are:

(A) Making too much money from it.

(B) Like to seem intelligent during their pot parties.

(C) Are part of the 'useful idiots' Stalin so often referred to.

Pegminer is talking about me and my brother. In fact, I know far more about the evidence than he does. There are many people who chase bigfoot who don't know the first thing about it and then again there are those who have doctorates who have looked at the evidence and have been convinced there is something to it. Unlike Pegminer, I have actually bothered to look at the evidence and made my own conclusions. As is typical of him, he simple put his finger in the air, listened to what others told him that he should believe, and he followed like the dutiful sheep he is.

Right after we all start listening to, and believing, Faux-Lies.

After which we'll encourage the Koch brothers to run for president and vice president.

And appoint folks Rash Limburger run the EPA.

And Sean Hannity to be the secretary of education.

And Bill O'Reiley to be secretary of state.

And Megyn Kelly to be Director of National Intelligence.

Oh what a great day that will be.

I guess you didn't realize that one of the renowned global warming deniers in here is not only a geologist, but also a Bigfoot chaser. I've heard him on the radio discussing his experience with and theories about Bigfoot.

We'll see whether he answers the question. Personally, I think Bigfoot is clearly a communist greenie, why else would he try to frighten people away from the woods?

You are describing the deniers.

Just look on wikipedia, NOAA, and Yale to get educated in AGW.

Right now you are just a dupe of the propagandists.

No I would not say it was pseudoscience, but I am very much concerned by the alarmism, and the way politicians pronounce ever more ridiclulous claims which are then backed up by so called scientists and experts, in an never ending spiral of unreality.

Look at some of these statements.

Multi-meter sea level rise on the century time scale (is) not only possible, but almost dead certain.

James Hansen.

Antarctica is likely to be the world’s only habitable continent by the end of this century if global warming remains unchecked, the Government’s chief scientist, Professor Sir David King, said last week.

David King (UK Chief scientist)

Where is commonsense and reality, If I stand back and look at the world today, I do not see warming global temperatures, I do not see rising sea levels (well 1.8mm per year) I do not see an ice free Arctic, I do not see shrinking Antarctic ice, I do not see snow free NH winters, I do not see dwindling food crops, or increasing deserts.

The world seems quite normal to me.

You apparently do not know what the word pseudoscience means. Either that or you do not know enough real science to tell the difference.

Never, except for tools and dupes of fossil fuel industry lies, because the scientific consensus on global warming is based on over a century of solid science, based on massive research, confirmed thousands of times all around the world, accepted by nearly every top scientist in the world for decades.

U.S. National Academy of Sciences, 2010:

http://books.nap.edu/openbook.php?record...

“Climate change is occurring, is caused largely by human activities, and poses significant risks for a broad range of human and natural systems.”

“Choices made now about carbon dioxide emissions reductions will affect climate change impacts experienced not just over the next few decades but also in coming centuries and millennia…Because CO2 in the atmosphere is long lived, it can effectively lock the Earth and future generations into a range of impacts, some of which could become very severe.”

http://www.physics.fsu.edu/awards/NAS/

“The Academy membership is composed of approximately 2,100 members and 380 foreign associates, of whom nearly 200 have won Nobel Prizes.

Members and foreign associates of the Academy are elected in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research; election to the Academy is considered one of the highest honors that can be accorded a scientist or engineer.”

Edit: Thanks for the revelation, Pegminer. Believing in Bigfoot, and in abiotic oil, are consistent with lying like blazes about climate science (#4 on Top Best Answerer list in Yahoo Answers Global Warming)

When you can show it fulfills the criteria of pseudiscience, which you can't do

It's true... lol.
