Will technology help?

Things like LED lighting and more efficient cars will save more energy than more efficient PCs. Nevertheless, the real solution is new energy sources, such as solar, wind and nuclear power.

Certainly, but only to the extent that technological advances are made profitable.

Technology has always helped. The wheel was technology. It is those who abuse technology, that you have to worry about.

There has been a solution, but only recently has it been made easy to replicate. It is a fast, easy way to produce power with electromagnetics - using a Tesla pancake coil and an induction cooktop. It is called a GEGENE machine.

I have built one myself.

Please see the following machine, and the measurements that were made - and then decide for yourself.

o yes its obvious

yes it will

I am a PC enthusiast. I like PCs, games, video and audio editing, ect.

One thing that I have noticed is that PCs are using less and less power every 10-15 years. For the processing that you get out of today's computer would have required a lot of power 10 year ago. This means that computers are able to do more using less resources now. They can perform very complex algorithms that were impossible to do 10 years ago. This means that things like simulations of the future, accurate collection of present data, and the like are becoming easier to perform because of the capabilities of these computers.

An another thing, because technology is using less and less power to perform the same tasks, this could foreshadow the possibilities of us using less and less power and fuel for the same things we do now in the next decade.
