I don't know who is getting the heat you should be having, but I think your question illustrates an important point. The Earth is a the closed system and its energy arrives and leaves as radiation. Over the long-term, slightly more energy is coming in than leaving – which is causing the Earth to warm. Over the short term, the energy in the Earth system is relatively constant so that when one place warms then another place must get colder. You can be sure that if one place is unseasonably cold, then somewhere else on earth will be unseasonably warm, but exactly where is determined by the jet stream and the ocean currents and the weather patterns.
That's a very good question; unfortunately I don't know of a good source to find that. You are 100% correct that weather is just heat moving from one place to another; when one place is unseasonably cold another is unseasonably warm. It is surprising that some people don't know that.
It is warmer than average today in most of the U.S. and Canada. It is warm in Africa and parts of Asia but I don't know how much compared to their average for today. Typically, when the U.K. gets unusually cold weather it is because the jet stream has moved further to the south and you are getting weather that more often stays in the Arctic. Therefore, usually temperatures in the Arctic are higher than normal. That's easier to see in North America where cold weather in the mainland U.S. is almost always matched with unusually warm weather in Alaska -- which is what happened much of this winter. Nova Scotia is a little warmer than average today, but I have no idea if that is related to your weather; I've have to see a good map of the jet stream today.
Down to North Spain it is still only around 10 degrees.
nobody. What happened is i went away for a few weeks and left the fridge door open. I'm back now and i've shut it, so it should be getting better soon.
Maybe it's hiding in the deep ocean where it can't be measured just like the world's top climate scientists surmise.
