The climate is ALWAYS changing and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Think about it the continents are drifting, the ocean current change, the sun's output changes, that all has an effect on climate, given the poor science done in regards to AGW we can't say one way or another if we are have any or how much effect man has had on the climate.

I started by recycling, because it takes less energy to process things than it does to dig up new resources. I also have a mulch pile for food scraps.

If you can't get a hybrid car, at least get a 4 cylender. I also have solar panels on my roof, and am working on a wind system. I had always heard about how expensive it would be, but I got 8 panels and an inverter to plug it into an ordinary socket for only $1500. (I used my income tax refund).

Another thing I plan to do is when I replace my shingles, I will get white ones. The icecaps reflect sunlight back into space, so any white we have will do the same thing on a smaller scale.

Put out my puny arm to do what? Change the course of nature? Now why would that ever make any sense? Because you heard about it on the evening news? Well then, go ahead. However, I think it would be better to direct my resources (and my puny arm) towards endeavors that I can control. I don't create pollution beyond what it takes to survive, nor waste resources, and I think that using resources to try and "keep our planet from climate change" is an inexcusable waste of resources and a horrible contribution to unnecessary pollution.

That is like saying, what have I done to stop rivers from eroding mountains or termites from mating with other termites. Climate have always changed. Pretending that we can stop the climates from changing by adopting leftist political policies is about as likely as reversing the flow of the Amazon River by dropping corporate tax rates.
