Microwave radiation vs. propane gas fumes?

Modern microwave ovens are well shielded so that NO radiation leaks out of a properly operating oven in good condition.

The primary fume from burning propane is water vapor, BUT it CAN put out carbon monoxide if there is insufficient fresh air available.

(Note that the biggest mess maker is NOT the propane itself but the capsicum oil they are required to add to make it smell as this is also vaporized and then settles out over everything as it cools.)

The use of a microwave will have zero effect on the animals in you house.

Ecologically propane is better, because electricity production is at best 35% efficient 65% lost in waste heat, whereas a propane stove would be closer to 80% or even 90% efficient, thus less fossil fuel used up.

Keep animals and yourself 3 to 4 ft from the mircowave when in use and you have no worries. The propane stove, once you dont smell the gas its pretty safe, the amount of carbon monoxide is at the most 17 on a carbon monoxide tester, where the human body is ok at 30,if your worried about the gas fumes escaping turn it off outside when not in use. Dont worry, theres far worse out there.

Hope this helps

The sun at noon beams more radiation into your home than a microwave oven. However, grid electricity comes from a variety of sources, including the dirtiest - coal-fired generators. Propane is much "greener" than electric-company electric. If you can power your microwave off wind and/or solar collection, then I'd say microwave, but if your electric is all commercial then propane wins hands-down.

Apart from very old microwaves 30 plus years old, modern microwaves are shielded little radiation get out, so your pets are in no danger unless you are reenacting the poodle in the microwave video.

which is more harmful to animals and the environment. I haven't used the microwave in a while, because I don't want the animals living in my house to be affected by it, but then when I use the propane stove, I feel like it is more depleting to the environment. Any information you know on either subjects or which you feel to be more or less harmful will be helpful. And know that even though this is worded stupidly and it sounds like one of those illogical "hippees", I am just looking for some information.
