Who first discovered global warming or what group?

The greenhouse effect was first theorised by Joseph Fourier in 1824.

In the 1950's John Tyndall experiments showed that infrared radiation was emitted by certain gasses, thus providing empirical evidence for the greenhouse effect

In 1896 Svente Arrhenius published a paper called "On the Influence of Carbonic Acid in the Air upon the Temperature of the Ground" in which he described how the radiation emitted from CO2 molecules could influence temperature on earth.

In 1938 Callendar published a paper called "The artificial production of carbon dioxide and its influence on temperature" in which he estimated how much recent warming may have been driven by increases in CO2 from fossil fuel emissions. This paper was heavily criticised and in retrospect, his data was unreliable since temperature records in those days were biased.

The existence of the greenhouse effect was argued for by Joseph Fourier in 1824. The argument and the evidence was further strengthened by Claude Pouillet in 1827 and 1838, and reasoned from experimental observations by John Tyndall in 1859, and more fully quantified by Svante Arrhenius in 1896

First hypothesized by Joseph Fourier, and later supported by some other scientist's, however not much notice was taken until prime minister Margaret Thatcher used it to discredited coal miners/unions and build more nuclear power stations, to provide plutonium for nuclear weapons.

Some crackpot in the early 1800s alluded to it. People were sane then and nobody listened to him then. Turns out they were right and the crackpot was wrong.

The Druids back during the Roman Optimum.

Im pretty sure it was American scientist, "Wallace Smith Broeker" on August 8th, 1975, and it was spread widely by Al Gore. Hope that helps!

even scientists in ancient rome noted that the weather was getting warmer each year!
