I want some creative ways to reduce global warming ... real creative ways...?

Well you could just argue that we shouldn't slow down one of Mother Nature's key principles. Just say, "If global warming weren't a natural process, wouldn't we be stuck in the ice age still? I don't know about you, but I don't see much ice out that window." I mean obviously humans have probably sped up the process and it hasn't exactly helped with the whole global warming thing, but in a group project there should always be one outlier that speaks for the other side of the story.

But if that isn't valid for your project I would do something about how we need to come up with a way to repair/build/strength the the atmosphere (specifically the ozone layer). So greenhouse gases destroy the ozone layer when there is too much greenhouse gases compared to the normal air. The Ozone layer protects us from UV rays by basically acting as a force-feild or a shield of armor against some sundays. The shield deflects these rays away from the earth and so it helps regulate the temperature by deflecting some of the rays (light and heat). So if we have hole sin our shield, some of the sun's rays that would normally deflect off the ozone and not reach earth are going to reach earth and that creates more heat. At the moment, the damage is not reversible, but if there was way to reverse the holes in the ozone layer, we could ultimately reduce global warming and get things back to mother nature's standards, virtually taking away all the human pollution that has effected the atmosphere. Boom.

"Make CO2 a villain and get rid of it. We don't need it. It has to be 280 parts per million in our atmosphere, otherwise we will burn up and die."

Screw your head on straight for 1 thing.

If you think a measured increase of 0.8C is only caused by raised CO2 levels, then it seems that your father found the closest flower pot and decided to conceive a child from there.

Environmental climate science has been the problem since 1988. Once Margaret Thatcher gave the "green light" to research it with Britain's money, The Royal Society has been flooded with all kinds of environmental catastrophes concerning CO2 effects. The IP CC has been run by Pichauri from India for the past several years and is a well known environmental zealot. He loves the idea of "global socialism".

Global warming is just a cover story to get us to reduce our fuel use. If you look at it from this standpoint - it makes sense governments want us to stop using so much fuel.

Obama said he wanted to "ensure fuel supply", but this was after Iraq. What happened in Iraq was that the oil companies got first dibs and contracts were signed. Same in Afghanistan - where the fuel pipe from Iraq was being built taking fuel to China. Why China you may ask? Because they are buying fuel on the global market, so supplying them means cheaper fuel for the US.

This is what it is all about - go look up oil deals in Iraq.

Global warming ended 11/28/2012, confirmed by our satelite reports 11/28/2012 showing that ICE accumulation has just started and today 8/16/2014 ICE is still accumulating on all ICED areas on earth as earth rotates as you well know. Global Command.

Just do NOTHING. Because there is NO man-made Global Warming.

It's been cooling for at least 12 years according to HadCrut3 & 4.

http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadcrut...

According to RSS Satellite data there has been no warming for almost 18 year.

Ground is the source of heat. By installing solar panels in order to utilize sun light, warming will be significantly reduced plus airconditioning using the same source will make room temp. Cooler than before!

Once Margaret Thatcher gave the "green light" to research it with Britain's money, The Royal Society has been flooded with all kinds of environmental catastrophes concerning CO2 effects.

Move the earth about 100 miles further away from the Sun.

Sorry this may be slightly off topic, but for the last couple weeks i have been banking $300/day simply by cheating at online roulette.

The method is so simple i just watched this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ1EkL8pt...

What "Global Warming"?? There is no credible, unfalsified, scientific data that supports the notion of Catastrophic, Man-caused, Global Warming.......None.....Period!

ihave to prepare a ppt .. like we r gonna hv a gd over dt.. soo .. iwant real creative ways to reduce global warming .. real creative ways...

answers will be awarded best answer accordingly...

Just make sure people like Al Gore don't get rich from this subject and governments do not get powerful from this subject. In other words, "Don't feed the kitty, and it will go away."

Global warming runs on politics, not science. It is a scam and a fake for suckers.

Robert Heinlein's answer to water pollution was to require water users to have their intakes directly downstream from their discharge. Extend that idea to air intakes.

no one cares about global warming, lets just live until we die. the end of the world is gonna happen anyway

Pay no attention to the denialist nonsense, like Madd Maxx's cherry picked graph. I can cherry pick too.

Global warming is happening

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2010...

And we are causing it

http://c1planetsavecom.wpengine.netdna-c...

The ten warmest years in the instrumental record are 2010, 2005, 2009, 2007, 2002, 1998, 2006, 2003, 2011 and 2012.

But why do we need "creative" solutions? What is wrong with solar, wind and nuclear power?

How can you create a project when you can't spell properly, and you don't proof read what you have written.

I did a quick internet search for "unusual alternative energy sources". Here are some of the results:

http://news.discovery.com/tech/alternati...

http://money.msn.com/investing/10-weird-...

http://science.howstuffworks.com/environ...

http://listverse.com/2012/12/06/10-weird...

http://mashable.com/2012/02/15/renewable...

I also looked for "unusual geoengineering ideas". Some results:

You collect peoples fart then convert them to propane or butane for heating or grilling.

1. Build a giant reflective sheet. Fold it into a spacecraft, deploy it a few million miles away and reflect sunlight away from the earth.

2. Build massive sprayers to extract salt from sea water and spray it into the mid atmosphere. The salt acts as nucleation centres for cloud formation, and makes them whiter which reflects more energy back into space.

3. Start pumping tiny nanobots into the atmosphere with reflective skins and solar cells. They hover in the atmosphere with little motors and reflect sunlight back into space.

4. Push the earth farther from the sun with giant rocket motors.

5. Dump chemicals into the oceans to make them highly reflective.

6. Teraform mars and move there instead.

7. Dismantle asteroids and place them in orbit around the earth preventing sunlight from reaching the planet.

Everyday in schools we do this stuffs to help save the world...but i dont think they are doing anything really...just to get u busy and get school grades....i wish these stuffs implement but they dont :(

1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Do your part to reduce waste by choosing reusable products instead of disposables. Buying products with minimal packaging (including the economy size when that makes sense for you) will help to reduce waste. And whenever you can, recycle paper, plastic, newspaper, glass and aluminum cans. If there isn't a recycling program at your workplace, school, or in your community, ask about starting one. By recycling half of your household waste, you can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.

2. Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning

Adding insulation to your walls and attic, and installing weather ********* or caulking around doors and windows can lower your heating costs more than 25 percent, by reducing the amount of energy you need to heat and cool your home.

Turn down the heat while you're sleeping at night or away during the day, and keep temperatures moderate at all times. Setting your thermostat just 2 degrees lower in winter and higher in summer could save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide each year.

3. Change a Light Bulb

Wherever practical, replace regular light bulbs with compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs. Replacing just one 60-watt incandescent light bulb with a CFL will save you $30 over the life of the bulb. CFLs also last 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs, use two-thirds less energy, and give off 70 percent less heat.

4. Drive Less and Drive Smart

Less driving means fewer emissions. Besides saving gasoline, walking and biking are great forms of exercise. Explore your community mass transit system, and check out options for carpooling to work or school. When you do drive, make sure your car is running efficiently. For example, keeping your tires properly inflated can improve your gas mileage by more than 3 percent

5. Buy Energy-Efficient Products

When it's time to buy a new car, choose one that offers good gas mileage. Home appliances now come in a range of energy-efficient models, and compact florescent bulbs are designed to provide more natural-looking light while using far less energy than standard light bulbs.

Avoid products that come with excess packaging, especially molded plastic and other packaging that can't be recycled. If you reduce your household garbage by 10 percent, you can save 1,200 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.

6. Use Less Hot Water

Set your water heater at 120 degrees to save energy, and wrap it in an insulating blanket if it is more than 5 years old. Buy low-flow showerheads to save hot water and about 350 pounds of carbon dioxide yearly. Wash your clothes in warm or cold water to reduce your use of hot water and the energy required to produce it. That change alone can save at least 500 pounds of carbon dioxide annually in most households. Use the energy-saving settings on your dishwasher and let the dishes air-dry.

7. Use the "Off" Switch

Save electricity and reduce global warming by turning off lights when you leave a room, and using only as much light as you need. And remember to turn off your television, video player, stereo and computer when you're not using them.

It's also a good idea to turn off the water when you're not using it. While brushing your teeth, shampooing the dog or washing your car, turn off the water until you actually need it for rinsing. You'll reduce your water bill and help to conserve a vital resource.

8. Plant a Tree

If you have the means to plant a tree, start digging. During photosynthesis, trees and other plants absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. They are an integral part of the natural atmospheric exchange cycle here on Earth, but there are too few of them to fully counter the increases in carbon dioxide caused by automobile traffic, manufacturing and other human activities. A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime

10. Encourage Others to Conserve

Share information about recycling and energy conservation with your friends, neighbors and co-workers, and take opportunities to encourage public officials to establish programs and policies that are good for the environment.
