SKS has very little of consequence at stake. The fossil fuel industry is impacted by climate change poilicy in that their cost of doing business increases each time restrictive policies are enacted.
These increased costs are passed on to the consumer.....the naive Alarmist community of Enviro-Hippies have no unerstanding of how business works. Their only hope is to increase the cost of fossil fuel to the point that wind and solar "appear" to be more competitive.
SKS has no impact on the issue of global warming other that to keep its participants off of the streets.
There's no way to make a valid comparison between 2 completely different things.
SS is an internet blog that produces no actual product & provides no necessary service to the general public.
SS is100% totally dependent on the continued existence of an AGW controversy .
The fossil fuel industry provides the necessary fuel & power that makes modern life possible.
Since the fossil fuel industry provides a vitally necessary service & as a public utility its profit margins are closely regulated it actually has no "stake" in CC policy, as any additional costs from mandated CC policy will automatically be passed on to those who consume its product.
carbon capture & sequestration is a good example.
Policy's that require coal plants to capture & permanently store their carbon use 30% more coal to power the capture/storage process. this increases their operating expense approximately 25% so the electricity consumer will be required to pay 25% more for any given amount of electricity.

Without the climate change controversy SS is defunct & Dana will have to ride his scooter to a real job somewhere , but the investors in the fossil fuel industry will do fine & have increased total profits without increasing their profit margin.
