How does climate influence food production?

More food in a warmer world. Plus, more CO2 that is in the atmosphere, means more CO2 absorbed by trees and more plant growth.

It all depends on the crop like Coffee which is arguable the most important crop to man. Coffee thrives in places with abundant rainfall, mean annual temperature of about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and well drained, nutrient-rich soils – elements that can be found at a variety of altitudes. Most of these conditions are found in the equator and if the world heats up not only will sea levels rise and take away some of the land that these plants need to be grown on, this will also not allow the plant to grow due to unfavorable conditions like high temperature or drought. This also works if the world cools down then plants may freeze preventing plentiful harvest which can cause a rise in cost in the product, hope this helps!

Well a warmer climate has a higher food production rate, trees grow ten times faster in the tropics than cold pine tree climates (taiga) and thousands of times faster than the high altitude bristle cone pine tree.

Of course water is also a major factor, warm and wet produces the fastest and most abundant plant growth, cold and dry the least (Gobi desert)

Unfortunately our planet has stopped warming, but CO2 is mitigating the effects by providing more food and reducing water needs (plants transpire up to 14% less)

Climate most important terrestrial effects of climate are rainfall, filtering of sunlight, temperature and wind. All of these things, but especially the fist three, affect crops directly. Effects on food production would be crop yields, crop-planting selection and crop modification to modify the effects on crops.

There are also indirect climatic influences on food production, e.g. via effects on 'pest' and 'weed' populations and soils (heavy rainfall and wind contribute to soil erosion).

Both rain and sun grows food and plants/ Global Warming ended in 2012. Mike

Climate has a huge influence on food production. And global warming has been a great blessing for food production.

Bumper crops WORLDWIDE has been the result of the slightly warmer weather along with the CO2 enriched atmosphere. Of course the advocates of man-made Global Warming try to deny this fact, but the evidence is overwhelming.

With warmer weather, increased CO2 and plentiful rainfall, one would expect a dramatic increase in food production and that is exactly what has happened.

But of course Warmists are crestfallen over this fact because their narrative does not allow any good news in connection to their catastrophic man-made Global Warming scam.

I have many more links to reports of Bumper Crops Worldwide, if you want more just ask.
