How do humans contribute to the rising acidity of the ocean?

burning of fossil fuels is one, right? give at least 3 contributing factors for human activity. thank you!

They pee in it.

They spit in it.

the greenies gargle in it.

Decreasing pH in the oceans is caused by the increasing CO2 in the atmosphere. (During natural atmospheric warming, pH in the oceans increases as the warmer oceans give off more CO2).

Humans are causing atmospheric CO2 to increase by burning fossil fuels and cutting down forests.

Sorry, can't help with a third factor.

False premise. The oceans are not acidic, thus it is a misnomer to label changes in the pH balance as 'rising acidity'. The pH is falling (becoming less basic), but only ever so slightly.

There is not enough carbon on the planet to lower the ocean's pH to the point that they would become acidic.

Hey there,

The most common symptom of GERD is persistent heartburn. Heartburn is experienced as an unpleasant and painful burning sensation in the esophageal area.

If you have already been diagnosed with GERD / acid reflux you can also try out this natural remedy http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=568

Bye Bye

They do various things. Can't mention all of those things in this answer box. Sorry for that.
