Heat energy moves from hot to cold. Put a steel pipe in a fire. Hold it in your hand. The tip will heat up rapidly, but eventually the heat will rise up to where you're holding it and your hand will burn. The atmosphere transfers heat energy in the same way. In this case the heat energy moves from the atmosphere to ocean water and ice. Sea water, because there's a lot of it heats slowly, and ice as it absorbs the heat energy slowly melts. This is why people can say there's 'no global warming' because the atmosphere isn't much warmer than it was in 1800 when CO2 concentration was about 286ppm. Today it's close to 400ppm; ALL of the increase is associated with the burning of fossil fuels.
The more CO2 the more heat will be retained by the atmosphere, but it doesn't stay in the atmosphere. So the question isn't where is the added heat in the atmosphere, the question is where all the heat went. Basically it's not the 'heat', but it's the results of that added heat that proves the case. The ice IS melting and gradual changes all along the artic coasts prove the point.
Conclusion: There is very little 'global warming' of the atmosphere, but you can't extrapolate that to conclude that there's no 'global warming' because the heat energy doesn't stay in the atmosphere. It's the effect that counts.
In the last 17 years there has been no statistically significant warming according to the head of the UK met office climate research unit. This despite the acceleration of global carbon emissions. The actual figure is 0.06C (six hundredths of a degree). The climate models predicted 0.3C rise for this period, that's five times what actually happened. To quote Richard Feynmam the Famous physicist . ' If the numbers don't support your theory, It is wrong, no matter how many support it, or how powerful and influential the are, it is still wrong.

Its very simple. There is no global warming. People think that increases in heat come from co2 however co2 increases came from an increase in heat. Its a natural sun-earth cycle.
There have been 13,950 peer reviewed articles on climate change between 1991 and 2012. Only 24 reject global warming.

Plus the earth is cooling right now and yet CO2 is going up. Makes no sense to think that CO2 is the driver of the temperature. That is true science. The earth is going against what these AGW alarmists have to say. Which one will you believe?
