For a few reasons:
- in the case of industrialists, this antagonises them, thus they tune it out
- some people believe it is merely a warm period it the current ice age(we are technically still in an ice age).
- some say that it is anomalous data
- some claim it is lies.
In my opinion any opinion on each side is irrevelant, we need to do something regardless of whether it effects the environment or not as it can make a fairer world if western nations become more self reliant allowing 2nd and 3rd world peoples to improve their quality of life.
Because we know a scam when we see one. The theory is backed up by lies and half truths. A lot of scientists don't think it is true.

Now let us look at what some proponents of AGW say.

So they admit that the science is phoney and that it is only a method of controlling people.
So you see, we know a scam when we see one.
Because how do you know if the "warming" isn't part of a natural cycle that is too long to have been fully recorded yet let alone even understood by mankind?
Worrying about Global Warming is just borrowing trouble from the future when we have enough in the present to worry about.
