What activities cause carbon dioxide emission release in a hotel?

I'm guessing that hotels....especially those located in luxury resort areas....do not emit any CO2.

If they did, then certainly climate scientists would not travel to them for their climate conferences:)

So many different activities produce carbon dioxide (CO2).

? During the construction of the hotel a lot of CO2 will have been produced – cement production and the manufacture of bricks and blocks are both sources of very large CO2 emissions.

? Power generation is one of the largest contributors to CO2, the electricity used in the hotel will be a contributor (unless it’s powered by wind, hydro etc).

? All the transportation associated with the hotel such as guests travelling to the hotel and the receiving of deliveries is another source of CO2, the burning of fossil fuels (including petrol/gas) is a major contributor.

? The preparation and processing of the food will be another contributor. From the rearing of the animals on a farm to cooking the meal in the kitchen, CO2 will be produced at every stage.

? The manufacture of just about everything produces CO2, this is because power is needed in the factories and the extraction and processing of raw materials is a major source of CO2. The tables and chairs, soft furnishings, electrical items all have their own carbon footprints.

? The supply of water is another producer of CO2 because of the energy needed in processing and pumping the water. Treatment of waste-water and sewerage is another source (also of methane – another greenhouse gas).

In short, pretty much everything will, at some stage or other, be responsible for the production of CO2. What some hotels may choose to do is to minimise their carbon footprint by source goods and services from sources that try to keep their emissions to a minimum.

They may also adopt schemes that offset their carbon emissions. If they do this then it could be possible to run a hotel with zero net emissions of CO2.

Everything you do in that hotel will cause carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Just the act of you waking up and breathing causes CO2 to be released! Turning on the lights, running the hair dryer, taking a shower (water is heated with a gas water heater), eating the continental breakfast (took CO2 to make the food and serving equipment), etc. Everything in a hotel causes CO2 to be released in our atmosphere. In a way, we are all doomed.

Well for starters, they use a lot of electricity They have clothes dryers to dry the towels and bedding and commercial dryers If they use scented products to wash or dry (softener sheets) then they are sending acetaldehyde and benzen a great deal of acetaldehyde and benzene which are pollutants According to the EPA, benzene is a carcinogen. Now this is not just commercial dryers, home dryers emit the same when using scented products I didn't see specific CO2 mentioned, but if they are using electricity that comes from gas or coal power facilities then they are certainly contributing to global climate change.

Carbon Dioxide is what they put into soda to make it fizzy. If this isn't what you are looking for check out Carbon MONoxide, since that is the toxic gas.

Breathing.

You literally cannot live without creating CO2, THAT'S WHY THEY WANT TO TAX IT.

But don't worry about it, CO2 does NOT drive temperature and CO2 is a blessing and not a curse. Without an adequate supple of CO2 in the air, life on the planet would die.

There is NO man-made Global Warming!

The Great Global Warming Swindle

People breathing .

god help us

I have tried to find this on Google and through books but I can't. What I need to know is what activities, work or leisure, in a hotel generate carbon dioxide emissions?

any sites that may have this?
