We in America have had brutal winters lately.. Why are they still yelling global warming?

Because local weather in the lower 48 represents less that 2% of the Globe's area. And the cold here is balanced by the warm air that went North, replacing the cold air that came South.

Look at the data for the whole Earth, which is warming even as the Sun is less radiant.

Because the scammers still want our money. They will continue to screech GLOBAL WARMING just like they have for the last 30 years unless we cut all of the public money for this SCAM. You can be sure they wouldn't spend THEIR money to keep this SCAM alive. But for as long as they are spending OUR money -- it will never stop.

There is NO **man-made** Global Warming and there has never been any.

What global warming? It's been cooling for at least 12 years according to HadCrut3 & HadCrut4 is nearly flat. http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadcrut...

According to RSS Satellite data there has been no warming for more than 18 years.

It's called Global climate change for a reason it's not about a few percent of the planet over just a few months of the year as deniers try (desperately) to pretend.

It about the entire planet over whole years this year (2014) is so far, based on the Jan-Oct data the warmest year ever recorded.

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201...

Of course if you really want to try and make this about just the U.S. this is the average for the same period of just the U.S. (Jan to Oct)

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/service/na...

Above average is hardly cooling.

Break it down further to regions within the U.S. and some where cooler but some where also warmer, some much warmer.

Which is why answers like 'Anonymous' offer nothing but empty rhetoric.

With the global temperature rising by only a few degrees it causes weather extremes all over the world. We will all be seeing more frequent and violent hurricanes, typhoons, tornados, dust storms, mud slides, extremely cold and brutal winters and extremely hot summers. There will be less of spring and fall that's for sure, its gonna go from cold to hot and hot to cold. Fueling the storms even more, This is the new normal.

I live in America and I've never seen a winter as warm as the last one we experienced. Maybe you need to look up what "global" means.

Because the US is not the whole world. Global warming is happening

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2010...

And we are causing it

http://c1planetsavecom.wpengine.netdna-c...

The ten warmest years in the instrumental record are 2010, 2005, 2009, 2007, 2002, 1998, 2006, 2003, 2013 and 2012.

Yes there was winter storms but what was happening in the North is a clear proof that the coldest part of the Planet is undergoing changes that will have long term effects to global climates!

The answer is quiet simple, if the climate on earth remains flatly the same forever from the beginning up to the end? there will be no screaming of Global warming or cooling which ever the case may be.

Humans are sensitive, opinionative and observant as well, we can leave it as is.

that's weather

not the earth's climate

The year 2013 ties with 2003 as the fourth warmest year globally since records began in 1880. The annual global combined land and ocean surface temperature was 0.62°C (1.12°F) above the 20th century average of 13.9°C (57.0°F).

Do u think US is the only country in this world???? I guess u r an American, it's bcz of u guys America is famous for idiots

Because that is where the money and power is.

Quote by James Spann, American Meteorological Society-certified meteorologist: "Billions of dollars of grant money [over $50 billion] are flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. No man-made global warming, the money dries up. This is big money, make no mistake about it. Always follow the money trail and it tells a story."

Quote by Tom McElmurry, meteorologist, former tornado forecaster in Severe Weather Service: “Governmental officials are currently casting trillions down huge rat hole to solve a problem which doesn’t exist....Packs of rats wait in that [rat] hole to reap trillions coming down it to fill advocates pockets....The money we are about to spend on drastically reducing carbon dioxide will line the pockets of the environmentalists....some politicians are standing in line to fill their pockets with kick back money for large grants to the environmental experts....In case you haven’t noticed, it is an expanding profit-making industry, growing in proportion to the horror warnings by government officials and former vice-presidents.”

The record snowfall in the Great Lakes area is happening when the temperature is barely below freezing. In other words, this winter is not colder than normal; it is just wetter. Warmer air can hold more water vapor and more easily produce intense snowfall.

Because they don't understand. We are in the midst of global freezing and it will get worse.

These alarmists keep implying that elsewhere it is warming. In fact we haven't had warming in the world for almost 20 years. http://www.drroyspencer.com/latest-globa...

The poles start melting and it cools the ocean. We've always had cold fronts picking up cold air from up there, but now the ocean is colder and more humid, so there's wetter, colder fronts that bring heavy precip.

They want a excuse to raise Carbon taxes to redistribute the wealth . And doing that will cause the temps to go down by magic .

The biggest lies are always in your face. In reality "global warming" is cyclical and affects only half the globe at once: it's called "Summer" among the enlightened.

Climate change is already beginning to happen in parts of the world. If you live in a chilly place like Alaska or Greenland, you might think a bit of global warming sounds like a great idea. But climate change doesn't necessarily mean things will get hotter.

Some places will be hotter some of the time, but most places will simply see more erratic and extreme weather. That could mean heavier rainfall on occasions, more snow in some places, longer periods of drought, more storms and hurricanes, and more frequent heatwaves.

You can find thousands of sites to explain in detail why global warming does not mean hotter weather for all, but first you have to open your mind or you will see only what you want to see.
