magnetometers for our base stations?

How do magnetometers relate to global warming?

GSM-19W Overhauser magnetometers are a good choice for base stations. These ground magnetometers do not require an external battery and are 10 time more accurate than proton magnetometers which are mostly used by surveyors. The battery backup is a whole day for a full charge.

I'd use the DC if on a remote station, at least it could be hook up to a solar panel , wind turbine or both with a RC bat. Even with AC I'd still use a UPS.

Why not? Sounds like a good idea.
