If global warming is bad?

Why do so many people move to warmer sunny climes

http://www.globalwarming.org/2014/03/04/voting-with-their-feet-warmer-is-better/

Even arctic migratory birds had enough of the cold weather BS and flew to Florida.

I can't think of a single person who migrates to colder weather In the winter either.

I wonder why AGW cultists never ever blame nice weather and nice climates on global warming.

Icey Baby,

Ahh so that is what you have found from the paleoclimate data??? That the time of warmer climates and more CO2 were mostly deserts and not mostly tropical???

Quick question about that then. I was led to believe that the reason fossil fuels even exist is that there was very lush plant life in the past. I was also lead to believe that the plant life was far more lush in the past, because the sheer quantity of plant life necessary to make that much oil is much more than we currently have on earth.

Clearly I was lied to. So who lied to me??? You, with your pretense that CO2 and warmer climates lead to the environment becoming deserts??? OR every science book I have ever read on the past times including the Jurassic period???

Gringo,

Funny thing about your post. Refrigerators inhibit growth of life. They are excellent if that is what you want to do. Is that what you want for a climate??? One that inhibits the growth of lifeforms???

Mintie,

Great point about the deserts. They are horrible for growing food. So you want to make deserts greener???

Perhaps you can answer this question for me. The Sahara desert has been expanding for quite some time, during this period of colder temperature and less atmospheric CO2.

I submit that the reason desertification is occurring in the world, is because of the relative atmospheric CO2 drought and the relative frigidness of the Earth now.

Jonathan,

Then tell me. Should I believe the accuracy of the paleoclimate data??? If you say no, then I would never accept the climate sensitivity sugested by the warmers. If you say yes, then I would never accept that a warmer, more CO2-rich climate is not a more life-sustaining climate. If you say I don't know, then I would never accept large actions being taken based upon what we don't know.

You are so much smarter, you tell me what to believe. Just don't ask me to believe two opposing views at the same time.

Heck, Hey Dook LOVES to bring up how old the history of the idea of global warming actually is. But most of that history had people thinking that any increased temps would be a good thing. Sicne then we have found out about CO2 fertilization. Now while I will agree that MANY scientists are showing that SOME lifeforms will have a difficult time with climate change and may not survive, what they are not showing is that plant and algae life will be inhibited. In ANY environment, plant and algae make up the basis of the life cycle. If you have more plant life and more algae life, then the rest will take care of itself.

Hmm warm sunny climate, Somalia, Bangladesh do you mean these no of course you don't because your playing the same old games. Perhaps you mean Florida, with a 1m of sea level rise no amount of 'warmth' will make that easier to live with if it more toward the higher end of the IPCC estimate 2m, then Florida will have massive flooding and any storm surge will reach regions it never used to.

As for your little link while I note they go to the cato institute rather than some real source of info it's had not to as see that Northern and quite cool states also had strong movements to them New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Washington. But I guess as usual you are blind to your own link, or at least the parts you don't want to see.

The warmest regions of Australia are the least populated areas of Australia.

How many crops grow in the deserts? How much grazing occurs in the deserts?

Single farms in Australia (in the north and central regions) are bigger than whole countries in Europe. This is because the carrying capacity of this land is so low they need huge areas to run livestock.

Gary..It doesn't have anything to do with GW but he has been around the forum to know that answer if he would just let some of the truth sink in

kano has gotten to the point where most of his questions are more of a nuisance than anything

Is your thinking about this issue so limited that you imagine that where people move is the only thing that matters in asking if global warming is "bad?"

I fear for all mankind, if even a portion of them cannot think beyond what you manifest here.

Cripes.

If global warming is good why do people have air conditioners?

If water is good why can we drown?

If oxygen is good why is there such a thing as oxygen toxicity?

Drowning is a liberal hoax.

Why do people have refrigerators in their homes?

Warmer is not always better.

Yes, it is bad.

What does people moving to the sun belt have to do with your question - or with global warming, at all?

Now they are moving to Alaska.

yeah it's of-course a bad one only which cause many harmful effects in all aspects.
