You and I are in total agreement. If we cannot make the rain come when it is needed, or go away when we have more than we need, why does Al Gore think we have any control over the weather? If we cannot prevent a volcano from erupting, an earthquake from developing, or a tornado from forming, why does Al Gore believe we can control Global Warming? Beats me. History proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that cooling and warming cycles have existed for eons and eons. What caused it way back when? I suspect that it had something to do with the natural state of the universe in which we live. What say you?

If you can't handle the guilt of causing global warming don't worry about it because it's not are faults it started generations ago. Can't deny facts and your own eyes. I agree the earth goes though cycles and has the ability to cool itself ( one way is ice ) the same way you cool a glass of water. This explains why the average global temp has slowed or stopped increasing. This is simple physics, more heat means more activity. I've noticed a lot of volcanic activity lately, think maybe the mantle and possibly the core of the planet is heating ( absorbing the heat in turn increasing volcanic activity.) All this caused by the green house effect? yep! This is a serious problem that is already effecting every one of us, stop screwing around and get serious! If we want a stable world we need to be responsible about what we do...

You are partially correct, it may not be man made. It's just a phase that Earth goes through to keep itself balanced. But humans are definitely increasing the rate of change that Earth is going though. So maybe it will take 100 million years for the earth to shift phases, we are changing that number to a lot less time for the earth to shift its phase. It's not the fact whether or not its man made, its the fact that the rate of change is increasing rapidly. Global warming doesnt harm the earth as much it will harm the nature of humans. We are working on human survival more than earth survival. Slowing down the rate of change will buy us more time on this precious planet. I'll tell you what, earth will always survive, as long as there is no supernova(our sun doesnt die.) But human survival is limited to how we treat the earth. Slowing down Global warming increases the chance of human survival not the survival of earth.

Many people don't understand that Margaret Thatcher of the UK created a "hard push" to show that human emitted CO2 was causing the planet to warm by offering money for research that can prove it. At that time in history she wanted nuclear power to be the UKs main source of energy so that energy security could be achieved. Prices of energy were highly volatile at that time. The Oil Cartels and the Coal Miner's Union were trying to dictate higher prices for oil and coal. Money is still the main ingredient when it comes to climate research. Hundreds of billions of dollars are allocated by Governments around the world directed at climate change research through the United Nations for the sole purpose of proving that humans are causing the planet to warm up. "Natural Climate Variability" seems to have taken a 'back seat' as a cause for fluctuations in temperatures.

If there is some cycle, explain what that cycle is because nobody else can. Those who study climate have learned that the cycles that slowly cause ice ages to come and go are in a cooling phase now and have been for the past 6,000 years. If you are so much smarter that Stephen Hawkings and all the world's greatest scientists, explain how they are wrong or else just admit that your are an uneducated ranting idiot.

I personally studied Global Warming 27 years before Inconvenient Truth. The IPCC was established 18 years before Inconvenient Truth. Gilbert Plass published the first peer-reviewed scientific paper on CO2 and Climate Change 50 years before Inconvenient Truth. Ignorance of physics does not change physics.

There is no excuse anymore to deny AGW. We are well past that.

the earth has a natural heating and cooling cycle. nothing humans can do about that.

but i do believe we as a species CAN contribute to global warming - NOT cause it.

No I disagree, man has effects on our climate, that is obvious with the clean air acts (which I agree with) man creates heat Islands, and by changing land use (England used to be covered in forest, now it is almost all agricultural fields) man consumes billions of tons of fuel each day which is almost all turned into heat, man changes the albedo of our planet with black tarmac roads etc.

But this is quite small compared to natural cycles and CO2 has only minor effects.

Because the National Academy of Science, NOAA, and most scientific organizations on earth have concluded that the current warming IS caused by man. Why? Because man has arrogantly been stripping all the carbon sequestered in the earth, and converting it to CO2. If idiots like you can't comprehend that, simply listen to the scientific experts on the subject, not to politicians (mostly Republican) that are owned by CO2 producing multinational corporations.

After you open up a general science text book for the first time ever, or since 1990, and manage to read some of it, come back and those adults here who are not nitwit anti-science liars might explain it to you.

Man-made Global Warming advocates have no empirical science to back their claim. And their advocacy movement has been mired in scandal since its beginning. Here are some things you should know:

1) The Earth has been both much warmer and much colder in the distant past, long before the industrial age. Climate is indeed changing, but it has always changed and probably always will. These are obviously natural cycles that man does not and cannot control.

2) Global Warming alarmists have been caught in one lie after another. Huge scandals have been continuously revealed since the early 1980’s when the campaign began. Some of these are listed below:

3) Al Gore’s movie "An Inconvenient Truth" was full of bald faced lies. Like the Polar Bears were drowning, or the Ice Caps were melting, or the oceans were rising --- all lies. In fact a court of England ruled the movie was so flawed that it could not be shown to school children without a disclaimer.

4) The ClimateGate affair exposed the utter corruption of the Warmist community with their exposed emails speaking of how they intended to “hide the decline” and how to manipulate data and the peer-review process in their favor.

5) Then there is the fact that the globe isn’t even warming anymore and the small amount of warming experienced from the 1900’s to 2012 timeframe was negligible and well within the envelope of normal.

6) During this same period of marginal warming, scientists also noticed that other planets in our solar system were warming. What do these planets have in common ? --- the Sun.

7) Phil Jones, head of the Climatic Research Unit, the Guru and High Priest of Global Warming himself admitted there has been no statistically significant warming. If anyone on the planet would have been aware of statistically significant warming it would have been Phil Jones and he admitted there has been none. (Game Over)

8) Warmists like Al Gore refuse to engage in any formal debate on the issue. That’s because on the few occasions Warmist have debated openly, they lose, and they lose big. Lord Monckton utterly destroys them time and time again.

9) Al Gore and other Warmists have stated clearly that they want to make CO2 the object of a global tax. CO2 is the perfect object for their revenue purposes because you literally cannot live without making CO2, after all, we exhale it. And current science has shown clearly that there is no correlation between the planet’s mean temperature and the concentration of CO2 in the air. Demonizing CO2 is all about the tax dollars, and that’s all its about.
