Why would anyone recategorize a question which was originally written in the Global Warming by the author to another?

It could be because the re-categorizer has used up his vaporization quota for the month.

It some cases, like "where can I a good quick oil change for my car?," the question actually does not long belong in Global Warming (and recategorization makes sense).

At any rate, Yahoo clearly has other priorities than fixing such problems.

The ability to re-categorize was added as of the last face-lift a year or so ago. But this has not eliminated the "oil change" type of question here.

I don't know. Some think they know better than the asker what the category should be.

I believe that only the asker should be able to recategorize a question and I won't recategorize another asker's question.

They are trying to save the planet and they are just doing their part making sure that impressionable young minds are not exposed to the heresy of unbelievers like you or me.

I do not know. Is this a global warming question that you are asking now?

because they know it's not about global warming but rather politics or science

I gather a user is upset at the bogus political questions.

They dont want concerned people reading the question, it might open peoples eyes to the truth and they don't want that, propaganda rules and they don't want their brainwashing to fail.
