For the past 15 years, mainly natural factors have been masking global warming and have contributed to the pause (which of course is not happening in the first place).
As for the warming in the late 20th century... you see the climate is not very complex and few factors have to be taken into consideration. In the late 20th century no natural factors could have contributed to the warming (which really did happen not like your imaginary pause which really didn't happen and we can explain why it did happen.)
Why is there 1 explanation for warming? Because it's the actual reason.

Because people who want to distract attention from global warming will say just about anything, hoping that some excuse, no matter how deluded, will convince some folks that it's not warming for whatever reason. It makes no difference why people think it's not warming. Just as long as they do think that. And elect congressmen who also deny global warming, thus perpetuate the profits of the fossil fuel industry, and doom the future to a hotter existence.
Not true, all the excuses for the pause, were probably the reason for the late 20th century warming, ie solar acitivity, PDO and AMO in positive mode, global brightening because of the clean air acts.
There is still no evidence that the warming from the 1980's to 2000 had anything to do with CO2.
Because Alarmists make up a story to account for it and then it gets shot-down. So they make up a new story and it gets shot-down. And on and on it goes. They are not held accountable, so they can make up as many stories as they like.
Trust me, we have not seen the end of stories fabricated by Alarmists to try and explain away the so called 'pause' in man-made Global Warming. There will be many more. And at some point they will start claiming that the pause fits in perfectly with what they have been predicting all along.

for someone claiming to be a skeptic you sure take the post of a blogist to heart don't you? Especially one that claims things have been debunked when that is far from the truth. Perhaps you should realize that there is more than one cause. Aerosols are still a factor and have provided up to half of the total trend. Ocean oscillations provide most of the rest. Next you should look up what the cause and effects of those oscillations are as quite a lot of the things claimed to be debunked in your page deal with those.
