Deciduous forests are in Koppen's C. climate category. The corresponding biome is the Deciduous Forest, or Temperate Forest biome.

There are three types of forest.

Tropical rainforest

Broad leaf deciduous

Coniferous pine forest

all require ample precipitation, less wet areas tend to be grasslands .

From rainforest to temperate, to cold (Siberian larch).

What they all have in common is some rain.
