Need warmer climate that i can afford?

Idaho is too cold and too hot for too long. I need affordable moderate climate on retired SS salary. Where to go? I own my home and am thrifty.

The west coast perhaps. Washington State or Vancouver? You don;t need to use air conditioning or heating nearly as much as other areas more inland.

You're in the same position I was in a few years back. I traced some of the maps in Climate and Man, the 1941 USDA Yearbook of Agriculture. I overlaid the places that got too hot, the ones that were too cold, and the ones that were too snowy. I wound up buying a place in Southside VA. You can also get data for individual ZIP codes online, not only for climate but for cost of living, health care, crime, etc.

Since you are retired and own your house n Idaho, it is better you stay there and use appropriate clothes and use air conditioner to keep you comfortable according to climatic condition.

Good luck on that one.

All the nice places are on the California coast and they are expensive.

The only affordable places I can think of are in the higher elevations of Arizona where the temp is nice in the Summer but in Winter you will get a little snow.

If a hot summer is OK, move to Phoenix, Arizona. Otherwise, move to the west coast.

Move to the sonoran desert out there

Move to Texas, You will be very happy. I promise .
