Global warming won't have any affect on us in our own lifetimes?

Almost all publications I read said that it's extremely unlikely that we will feel anything in the next 50 years, if so why's everyone going crazy about it?

Indeed, the actions are counterproductive according to their own science. Bill Gates highlighted it. If they are saying you need an 80 % cut by 2050, it is better to focus on achieving that than a 20% cut by 2020 which won't do anything anyway. Spending all this money on small cuts takes money away from achieving big cuts.

Now the supposed benefits of emissions cuts are far in the future. In 1998 people in high school were being told about runaway temperatures, the planet has a fever, but by the time they are 40 they are seeing roughly the same temperature as that same year, which suggests the runaway temperatures are overstated.

1) Just because a problem doesn't impact OUR generation doesn't mean it shouldn't be taken seriously. For instance, our fossil fuel supplies are projected to last till about 2050. So, you might enquire, 'So, what's the big deal? We're set, right?'. Yes, but the fundamental question remains: what happens after that? What happens for the next generation of individuals?

2) The problem doesn't just affect humanity. It affects various species of the animal kingdom. Penguins, for instance, will be driven further and further towards endangerment and extinction with the current rate of melting icecaps. Certain animals and plants will be unable to adjust themselves to such changes in climate.

3) Generally speaking, global warming isn't a concern because of its impact on a particular generation of people or a timeframe of half a century. It's the very real and frightening notion that if us humans continue to engage in the habits we do today, that we very will be contributing to the demise of our planet. It might not be 50 years, or even 100, but it would be stupidity to ignore legitimate worry over alarming changes in weather and climate when we are in a position to minimise, and if we are sustainable enough, prevent the damage.

I am 67yrs old and I have never experienced any warming, the climate is the same now as it was when I was a child.

Do I worry about my childrens future yes, with climate policies the way they are, they are likely to grow up in poverty.

Because everybody has been brainwashed, indoctrinated by this global warming propaganda,

First off everyone isn't going crazy about it. Second we are already feeling the effects of global warming in different ways in different places. Why don't you do a search for

global warming impacts and do a little reading

In spite of AGW being a redistrubtionist conspiracy and a hoax the taxes incurred if liberals have their way will effect you negatively now.

y should be so selfish what if we were born after 50 years or if our ancestors had done things like these to us

we are already affected

the pollution is causing so many diseases

and antartica has a hole in the ozone layer

in tropical regions the summers r hell especially for people with less money as they can't afford ac

animals are dying especially birds

There is no man-made Global Warming.

Top climate scientists say there is no man-made Global Warming.

The Great Global Warming Swindle

moving gold causes climate change , you catch a cold , farmers should place for maximum output... any death must come from old man or me right now cause I see everybody went ... fighter > killer ... if not order by old man the food will not show...what he does is he watches all the kids and will tell you stand in its way ... cause I cant stand in my child way cause I didn't "Want" it... no biggie

Have yourself a tasty holiday brew of 400ppm cyanide. Refreshing with a twist of lemon, and painless.

Or better yet, open up a science book. THAT won't kill you just because you've never done it.

More like 20 years. I worry about my great grandchildren.

darn right

Are you a dimwit? We're feeling it now!
