Why is global warming the responsibility of everyone? Essay help:?

It isn't. Case in point, it isn't called Global Warming anymore. That scare tactic went out the window decades ago. It is now Climate Change, which no one has bothered to define.

Reason 1. (Why it isn't.) It is mostly financial.

Quote by Ottmar Edenhoffer, high level UN-IPCC official: "We redistribute de facto the world's wealth by climate policy...Basically it's a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization...One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore."

Wealth redistribution is today's tenet for Communism. It has nothing to do wit Science or the atmosphere.

Reason 2. It is political, not scientific.

Quote by Christine Stewart, former Canadian Environment Minister: “No matter if the science is all phoney, there are collateral environmental benefits.... climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.”

'Justice and equality' are code words for Communism or other tyrannical types of governments.

So if everyone is responsible, as the claim is, then this will only lead to this:

Quote from the UN's Own "Agenda 21": "Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level."

This is what your teacher is probably advocating. We have seen this same thing in Russia which led to many many millions forced into hard labor with insufficient food resulting in death.

If you think I am just joking, just look at this:

Quote by Susan Blakemore, a UK Guardian science journalist: "Finally, we might decide that civilisation itself is worth preserving. In that case we have to work out what to save and which people would be needed in a drastically reduced population – weighing the value of scientists and musicians against that of politicians, for example."

Is it your responsibility to lead your children and grand children into slavery? If you think so, you are one of those who Stalin aptly described as 'useful idiots'.

Your first point needs a little work. Perhaps you have summarized it poorly here, and your actual essay is good. My objection is that people thinking something is fake doesn't keep it from being everyone's problem.

Your first point in favor is also a point against, properly understood.

The problem cannot be solved alone. This is because an 80% cut in emissions is said to be the goal. Now China alone is responsible for 27% of emissions, so there can be no solution to global warming without a significant drop in emissions from China. Yet China is not interested in doing anything. Thus, if by everyone they are referring to everyone in your class or the city or state or country, that is actually wrong because it still would not achieve the desired solution.

In addition to being fake, another point is that the problem is overstated, there just won't be that much warming. Basic physics says doubling CO2 warms the planet by about one degree, however, the scientists are making claims of much higher warming based on some dubious assumptions put into climate models, like the effects of clouds. If clouds in fact form and reflect sunlight in response to warming, then it is no big deal.

Another negative point, is that climate is changed by Nature. Thus it is the responsibility of Nature, not us all.

A positive point is that it is morally correct for everyone to participate.

A negative point is that it is the responsibility of those who caused it, not all.

A negative point is that it is morally the responsibility of those who know about the problem, not those who caused it without knowing about it.

(Yes I know these are contradictory. It's your essay and just giving you points to think about.)

You need to do your own school work For that type of question you can use the following type of search

global warming everyone's responsibility pros cons

Man-made Global Warming is a HOAX to rob you blind and destroy your liberties.

I'm sorry you are being propagandized by your school, but what global warming are you talking about? It's been cooling for at least 12 years. http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadcrut...

Top climate scientists say there is no man-made Global Warming.

The Great Global Warming Swindle

Con: The 'science' claiming to support catastrophic, Man-made global warming is faulty, manipulated, and in some cases.....fraudulent.

Research the 'Climategate email scandal'.

Research the 'Hockeystick scandal'.

It is against basic and fundamental human rights to force me or others to support a cause which I find both ridiculous and unscientific. Freedom is a concept which many have died for, and should not be disregarded so easily.

It isn't because humanity has nothing to do with climate change and humanity can do nothing about climate change.

My essay is titled; "climate change is the responsibility of us all. Do you agree? Justify your opinions".

(I need 3 for each side of the argument, so 3 for it being the responsibility of us all, and 3 for it not being everyone's problem)

I have one for it being everyone's problem, which is that we can not combat global warming without everyone's help.

I also have one for it not being everyone's problem, which is that a lot of people think that it's fake or the responsibility of a higher authority (if they're religious).

I now need 2 more reasons why it's everyone's responsibility and 2 more for why it isn't.

Any help is greatly appreciated :).
