Who thinks that, next week, when there's a cold wave, global warming deniers will be out in force?

Isn't energy wonderful? If we hadn't dug up all of that fossil fuel and used it to our advantage, then you probably would have never been born (along with about 5 billion other people).

The "global temperature manipulators" will surely dismiss any cool down in the atmosphere as a mere pittance to their warming theory.

One unfortunate fact for alarmists is that there has never been an "equilibrium" reached in our atmosphere and there never will be. Science knows this and has always known. Micro-measuring the atmosphere over the past 30-35 years doesn't change the fact that the climate will always change.

I'll keep the change. It seems that predictions from the "temperature manipulators" keep coming up wrong just as the recent Pacific Ocean "El Nino" prediction failed to materialize. LOL!

Probably several. It wouldn't surprise me if there are dozens of posts, though probably only from about 6 or 7 actual individual posters. And when anyone calls them on it, at least one will claim that the "alarmists" use every case of unusually warm weather as "proof" of global warming, but claim that unusually cold weather is just weather.

Despite the fact that... I don't think I generally see more than 1 or 2 "is this proof of global warming" posts every summer when there's a heat wave or drought, but I probably see upwards of 30 "is this proof that global warming is false/over/etc" every winter.

But logic is... generally not the denialists' strong point.

Frankly, i have other things to do than worry about global warming deniers

It is amazing to watch as otherwise intelligent people, will see the planet as only the tiny part of it that they occupy. Try as one might a global perspective is impossible for a lot of people. (the U.S. makes up less than half of the North American Continent and yet North America barely makes up %7 of the planets surface)

To warm oceans 1 degree, which cover %70 of the Earth surface, require that energy not imaginable by most of us, can and will alter the Earths climate.

Yes there certainly will be, and there will probably be a similar amount compared to the goofy shrieking alarmists there would be if there was a heat wave that hit the continent 10 days before the official start of spring.

I'm already a skeptic. Another brutal winter still won't comvince me its warming.

Why do you think that will happen? I hope it is not projection.

We here now understand that any cooling is always consistent with warming. Similarly, warming is also consistent with warming. We also know that more precipitation is consistent with GW as is less precipitation.

So I don't really think we have a leg to stand on.

No but the alarmists will be saying it is caused by all that melting in the Arctic, and pehaps John Holdren will make another video.

I am not even sure it will do as you say, it is too early to be predictable, but I pretty sure it is going hit the Bering sea fishing fleets hard though.

There's a very large and powerful November hurricane that's heading up toward Alaska. And it's expected to then turn back down and bring cold and snow through Canada and into the US.

How many "Global Cooling" claims will we see?

Remember, it's a blown-out hurricane, in November.

How many, "How many inches of global cooling dumped on my sidewalk does it take to change global warmer's minds?" will we see?

Does this count at a climate prediction? (Yes, I know. Just playing.)

Some projection there. Still waiting for a heat wave to be sold as global warming?

One thing about global warming deniers is that they are predictable. Nothing like a cold wave to bring them out of the woodwork.

That may be true of someone who was born before or in Linlyon's time, when they had just split the atom. But the people who are responsible for much of the fossil fuel that has been dug up since then are called anti-nuclear activists.

Probably. Personally I was roasting today in 90 degree temperatures.

I'm already a skeptic. Another brutal winter still won't comvince me its warming.

It depends on the detailed diagnostics readings made by True Scientists of what Wattsup, JudithCarry, and Glenn Beck say.

About the same number who claim the heat wave, the hurricane, etc are caused by AGW.
