Any combustion of carbon-based fuel. Wood, coal, oil, etc. When humans first started a fire, that's technology. When they built locomotives, that's technology. When they started stoking they're furnaces and power plants with coal, that's technology. When cars were built that ate gasoline like no other and belched carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air; just like the furnaces and trains and fires before it, they're trapping heat within our atmosphere.

Well solar and wind technology reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, which reduces CO2 emissions. Some technology may be associated with fossil fuel burning which contribute to CO2
