Does global warming contribute to brain damage?

The optimum environmental temperature for the functioning of the human body is usually between 21°C and 24°C, it varies from person to person dependent upon an individual’s physiology.

The mean global temperature is a little under 15°C so global warming is pushing temperatures toward to the human optimum and this will improve all physiological systems.

However, most of us don’t wander around naked and already maintain an optimum temperature by wearing clothes, heating our homes, vehicles, offices etc. In this respect the benefits of warming are going to be minimised.

Countering the optimisation is the fact that many of the most densely populated parts of the planet are in hot climatic zones. Temperature rises here are taking the average temperatures further away from the human optimum and this causes a deterioration of the all the primary bodily functions, including the functioning of the brain.

Global warming won’t damage the brain per-se. Thermogenetic processes keep the brain at a temperature slightly above the body’s core temperature irrespective of the ambient temperature, the exceptions being the extremes of heat and cold that the body can’t cope with which leads to conditions such as hyperpyrexia and hypothermia.

If global warming takes the temperature closer to the human optimum then brain function improves, if it takes it above and beyond the optimum then there is a decline.

If we are all getting hotter then, because entropy is increasing, our brains will be more prone to cell division damage? Maybe!

The main effect on the brain from Global Warming is that you get a headache listening to all the arguments, and it makes you mean because you do not want your country to run out of electricity supplies in very hot or very cold weather because all they will build is stupid wind turbines.

Your wrong again Trevor, if the temperature drops even below freezing clothes will protect us, however over 40C taking off clothes will not cool us down, there are only so many clothes we can take off.

ya can be possible. because as temperature is going high it will affect the brain too.
