Real? Yes. We have had 0.8 degrees of warming over the past 100 years with likely 0.5-0.6 degrees caused by man (the earth is still slightly warming from the Little Ice Age).

A concern? Yes. We should start to find inteligent ways of limiting our CO2 production.

The temps have been increasing linearly accounting for the PDO. We have no solid evidence that it has or will ever rise in an exponential fashion.

So what should we do about it? Should we deny 3rd world countries the energy they need to pull themselves out of squalor? NO. Should we trash our economy with a large taxation scheme? No.

Simple methods by us of reusing, reducing what we use and recycling would go a long way. Everyone of these methods also save you money. For the US as a whole, we can work towards nuclear power to serve as the base for our electricity needs.

Solar is also becoming less expensive. The US should work towards helping solar continue to decline in price. In about 5 years, you will be to make up for your initial investment in solar panels within a 5-8 year period. Meaning that every dollar saved afterwards is money in your pocket. Plus its a better source of energy for the environment.

You can see people here calling people names, like whack jobs etc., They usually then point to a certain group of scientists who 'certify' that Global Warming is true. They offer nothing more substantial than this. WOW! That really proves it! That should scare everyone into believing this theory, if you could call it that. That should scare you into submitting to taxes and tyranny. It is an old con game, described many years ago by H.L. Mencken, famous columnist: "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed ― and hence clamorous to be led to safety ― by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." And, "The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false face for the urge to rule it."

Do you really feel warmer? Last year where I was at was one of the coldest winters of record and evidenced by my high heating bills. Yet we hear these calamity howlers asking for increased taxes and for people to give up their liberties and life style because the Earth is supposedly going to burn up due to you driving your SUV to work instead of riding a mule.

Those that are crying that we are causing this earth to burn up due to our carbon creating activities are the biggest offenders of carbon creating. Just look at Al Gore's life style. Do you think he is worried? You can't tell by his actions. But he does make a lot of money from scaring you,doesn't he? Don't you think if he was sincere about Global Warming, he at least would change his life style a little?

But let us look at the scientific facts and see if it is real. Al Gore in his movie said that when the CO2 level went up, it drove the Earth's temperature up. Now let us look at that basic portion of all this theory and reason it that is true.

In a way yes, CO2 does cause some warming, but very minor, in fact it should be 1C warmer by year 2050 (hardly catastrophic) and depending on the approaching solar minimum it might get colder.
