How do we know for a fact the ice age happened?

Do we have any written record or images about the ice age?

If we do where can I find it?

There have been several ice ages in Earth's history. The last major ice age peaked 22,000 years ago, way before humans started writing and way way before the camera was invented. The evidence of the ice ages can be found in ice core samples and by studying the geological effects of historical glaciers. Glaciers carved up the land, creating lakes and depositing huge boulders on prairies that couldn't have gotten there any other way.

The presence and passage of great ice flows is evident in the geology they left behind. As just one example, I live in an area where the glaciers of the last great ice age terminated. Their advance and retreat carved out huge U-shaped valleys in the foothills. But south of that termination point the valleys are all V-shaped, as one would except from simple stream erosion.

Because the greenies predicted it and they are never wrong.

Life magazine of January 3, 1970, stated: “Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support . . . predictions” such as: “In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution,” and “increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will affect earth’s temperature, leading to mass flooding or a new ice age.”

Man of Steel Mind of Straw There was no written language in any but the little ice age

Ice core samples are studied to verify them

There are lots of cities underwater. http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=Auve...

They were obviously built on dry land. A lot of ice had to melt in order to raise sea levels so much --- that would have been an ice age.

Mammoths lived in Europe. Archaeologists found their fur, very long. Therefore, Europe was at least 20 C colder than now. Also, Neanderthal man, a lot more hair than now.

We have geological evidence as such. Try looking for it using google.

I'll just link you to a few articles, pertaining to the subject matter at hand, and let you do the research yourself:

Just google "evidence for ice ages"

this is what wiki says http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0SO80w71...

It happened last month when I defrosted my refrigerator. I put it on Facebook.
