cause is CO2 bc it traps heat. The effect is animals and plants have to move to another area, following the ecosystem where they can get food. Most will be unsuccessful. Other will thrive. Also if the ocean risies significantly, animals and plants along the shores will suffer. That btw is where MOST humans live.
