A hoax? No. A conspiracy? Definitely
We have a little over a hundred years of accurate and reliable temperature data. There is no way to make any conclusion about long term climate change based on such limited information. There is also the fact that the sun is currently in a solar cycle with increase energy output. Earth is NOT the ONLY planet that has slight temperature increases in last 20 years. Plus, we can't dispute the fact that temperatures since 2006 have remained flat or have actually gone down. This corresponds to the end of the current solar cycle
Mad Cow Disease and the Bird Flu are real things, just like Global Warming. And Y2K was a real threat, but companies worked to fix it before anything bad happened. Too bad the deniers are blocking every effort to combat Global Warming.

Each of the last three decades has been successively warmer at the Earth’s surface than any preceding decade since 1850.
Scientific understanding of the cause of global warming has been increasing. In its fourth assessment (AR4 2007) of the relevant scientific literature, the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reported that scientists were more than 90% certain that most of global warming was being caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases produced by human activities. In 2010 that finding was recognized by the national science academies of all major industrialized nations. Affirming these findings in 2013, IPCC says that the largest driver of global warming is carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from fossil fuel combustion, cement production, and land use changes such as deforestation.
Also, Bovine spongiform encephalopathy ("Mad Cow Disease") and Avian influenza ("Bird Flu") are not hoaxes.
Ask me again this summer when the temperature is about 30 degrees above average. At that time I will be able to give you a correct answer.
So is Overpopulation, Deforestation, Land degradation, Pollution, Depleting natural resources, Unsustainability, Animal Extinction our future generations will have Nothing to worry about because they will "HAVE NOTHING"
