Has the WWF apologized for causing a false alarm on the antarctic penguin population?

Hmm penguins, photoshopped polar bears, do they really believe we are that naive.

Actually the first link claims that both the Adeles and Emperors are at risk due to climate change and the second lik claims that Emperors are at risk although their numbers are increasing in the south, the northern Emperors are at risk The first article also says the gentoo are at risk everywhere but slightly increasing in the south shetlands and chinstraps are decreasing in the south shetlands and no mention anywhere. Yo me this paints a grim picture for the penguins

i see nothing here contridicting the alarm. Thanks for posting a link which supports climate change Learn to comprehend what you read.

What false alarm? The fact that there are more penguins than previously thought has nothing to do with the hypothesized effects of climate change on the critters.

1. Your imminent catastrophe claim is a lie according to the first article - which never mentions a time frame; and

2. Your "false alarm" claim is a lie according to the second article which states, ""Current research suggests that emperor penguin colonies will be seriously affected by climate change. "

I really hope you are lying because I don't believe anyone deserves to be this stupid.

>> Gary F - What climate change? There hasn't been any for 17 years 8 month<<

Now I see the Denier problem - you do not know what 'multidecadal' means. Let's break it down:

Multi- this means multiple (multiple means more than 1),

Decadal - this refers to a decade which is 10 years,

So - multidecadal means multiple (more than 1) 10-year periods (i.e, units).

This means that you cannot measure the signal on scales less than multiple decades - which means that it is physically impossible to identify anything in terms of single years and/or months - which, of course, means that anyone claiming that know something happened sometime and "8 months" ago has approximately the same intelligence as a rock.

Gary is a scientist with specialization in climate change. If the question is genuine (refer to Sagebrush's favorite phrase), you will not pick anti-science poster Kano's non-answer over his.

You can't claim a fortune teller is wrong as long as their predictions remain predictions.
