Who cares? The USA is a tiny fraction of the global surface area.
If you are so keen on thermometer recorded temperatures, then why do you in another question link
to a WUWT post which prefers satellite measurements (which do not directly record temperatures) over NOAA's direct thermometer based observations?
Is it perhaps because the thermometer observations show more warming vs the non-thermometer satellite data which show less?
And before you go off on a StevenGoddard inspired rant about 'adjusting data', in just 8 years of UAH data it has been adjusted 10 times, 7 of which resulted in a trend adjustment.
Would the real Steven Goddard please stand up? I am amazed at all of the people will turn to a mythical person to try to gain knowledge in science. It simply is not working out well for them. As exampled here with this less than reasoned questions.
Ian, you do know that the U.S. does not actually represent the entire planet, do you not?
